The elevator core of the El Paso Natural Gas Building is being constructed using Scanada's two-deck slipform lifting system. One floor per day is typical for elevator core construction. Reinforcing steel and openings for the "next" floor are placed using a small night crew. Actual slipforming takes place during the day shift.
